I work in security — the kind that's mostly about infrastructure, on-call, and making sure the boring things happen reliably. Before that I co-founded a startup and was its CTO, which taught me more about what I don't know than any job before or since.
I'm a generalist by temperament and a specialist by necessity. I like structure, concrete problems, and finishing things. I write here because it's the only way I've found to figure out what I actually think.
